Seamless Secondary Display Solution for Garmin Marine Systems Unveiled

A new series of marine displays, the SL600W and SL700W, has been introduced to provide robust secondary-screen functionality fully synchronized with Garmin GPSMAP 8400 series chartplotters. Combining real-time mirroring technology, responsive touch interaction, and high-visibility screens, the product aims to enhance situational awareness and operational ease in maritime settings.

Real-Time Mirror Display with High-Definition Output
Utilizing HDMI-based high-speed digital signal transmission, the SL600W and SL700W series achieve complete content synchronization with Garmin devices without requiring complex setup. An optimized signal processing algorithm ensures minimal latency, enabling users to view identical information on both screens in real time. The displays support resolutions of 1920×1080 and 1920×1200, accommodating various Garmin models while maintaining clarity, accurate color reproduction, and contrast.

Intuitive Touch Interaction
Equipped with 10-point capacitive touch capability, the displays allow users to interact directly with the screen as they would with the original Garmin device. Common gestures—including zooming, sliding, and tapping—are fully supported, eliminating the need for retraining. The integration of an EETI touch solution ensures rapid response and precise operation even in unstable conditions such as vessel motion. A dedicated touch on/off switch is included to prevent unintended inputs during rainfall or accidental contact.

Compatibility and Connectivity
Designed specifically for the Garmin GPSMAP 8400 series, the SL600W and SL700W are compatible with models including the 8400, 8400xsv, 8600, and 8600xsv. Connection is simplified via HDMI for video transmission and USB for touch signal synchronization, offering both stability and ease of installation.

Superior Display Performance
Available in sizes ranging from 15.6 to 23.8 inches, the displays feature full HD resolution with high pixel density for sharp imaging of navigation charts and sonar data. A wide brightness range—from 150 nits for nighttime use to 1500 nits for sunlight readability—is complemented by an ambient light sensor for automatic adjustment. Additional enhancements include wide viewing angles, anti-glare coating, and wide color gamut support, ensuring consistent visual performance in challenging marine environments.

The SL600W and SL700W series thus provide a reliable, high-performance extension to Garmin’s marine navigation systems, suited for both recreational and professional maritime applications.
